Agama Lama
- Means "old religion"
- Ancient, partially reconstructed religion of Tanatenga
- Most modern Tengans practice the local religion, not this
- Major gods had cities dedicated to them
- Each city had a temple and a massive statue to a particular god or goddess
- Gods take human forms and apparently made up a family
- Believed to have had hundreds of gods, but only a few have been rediscovered and their names are unknown
- The gods went too long without worship and most of them faded forever
- Surviving gods do not remember anything, but retain than their personalities and beliefs
- These gods are referred to by modern epithets, e.g. "Yang Mematikan" in Tengan
